:) Hello everyone!!:)
I know many people have problems getting homeowners insurance because of their specific dog breed, but I have an insurance agency near Milwaukee that specializes in offering property insurance for people with Pit Bulls, rottweilers, german shepards, etc. The company I represent doesn't discriminate again any dog breed and extends liability coverage to dogs without charging any additional premium. I don't know if you would be interested but we would be more than happy to work up some numbers for you. Feel free to check out our website or contact us through our blog profile. www.mccabegroupins.com

State Farm also does not discriminate against any dogs when seeking out Homeowners Insurance.

Just because they don't ask...doesn't mean that's a good thing. The HO company that does not ask my exclude animal liability all together...so you may think your dog is covered if it bites and only find out that it isn't when it's too late. Make sure you read your policy under liability...It will say something to the effect that liability coverage will pay for damage to others by an animal you own..etc, etc.
I didn't know that State Farm didn't discriminate against the "dangerous" breed list. Do any of you with State Farm own a pitt, rottweiler, etc?
I have Farmer's that does not exclude animal liability but they did ask about the breed. Not sure if it's an automatic denial for coverage or perhaps a higher premium for a so-called dangerous breed. I also had Travelers (underwritten by Balboa) before...they also did not exclude A.L. but also asked about breed.

My husband is a State Farm insurance agent and he told me that State Farm does not discriminate against dogs; specifically Rots, Pit Bulls, Chows, etc. There are statistics that indicate that the smaller breed dogs have a higher percentage of biting.

I have home owner's insurance with State Farm. The insurance agent has met most of the dogs I have now, never blinked an eye. I think I had 7 here at the time he came out to talk about my coverage. I've never had a bite incident, so don't know if there would be a problem if that were to ever happen.

That's great. I just didn't know that. I didn't complete my quote with the SF agent here so I didn't have a chance to ask. Good info to know.
