Ok I didn't make it far but it was a blast!!! I used to be a big time roller skater when I was a kid, :o I used to go every Fri. and Sat. from 7-11 and every time they had an overnight skate I was there! :o

Any way today it was the last nice day for a while so I took advantage of it and went skating with my dog! I only made it through one dog but the others got a nice walk too. :p I am gonna be a little sore in the morning cuz I used muscles I haven't worked in years! LOL How can 25 already feel old?:p

Oh I forgot my dog thought it was the best thing ever cuz he could run full speed and I could keep up with him for at least a full street. LOL He was in heaven.

Elsa and I ice skated on Saturday. She mostly ran laps around the pond while I skated but she raced with me too. She's learning to stay out of the way so I don't have to fall down to keep from running into her.

Great job! I can only skate with one of mine, too. The little ones are scared of the skates.

That is so awesome. wish more people would be brave and bike and skate with there dogs. I thought of starting a small thing where I went and taught people how to do it. I love to bike with mine. The wind in your hair and a very happy tired dog when your done.
Wee Hoo! Way to go!

Wow this was almost a year ago! I forgot about it really :o Yeah I need a good pair of roller blades instead of my speed skate to do that again LOL I would love to bike with mine I am just afraid they will get run over with the tires or pull me over LOL How do you avoid that Terrah?

Momto3 is isn't so bad with just one dog, I have breaks on my skates and if all else fails you jump into the grass and tuck and roll LOL :D It was really scary when I did it with two dogs at once though!!

Tie the leash to the bottom of the seat. It keeps your balance. put the leash behind your leg instead of in front. Then if you need to correct you can use your leg very fast to speed up or slow the dogs. I have done four... Max, Ty, Rocky and Dalyce. It was fun, fast and fun. You don't pedal at all just let the dogs take you.
When I turn, I focus on the turn I want to make, the dogs just KNOW what I want. Sam bikes with Dalyce and she taught her words "left" and "right" for the turns. That takes time, til they can learn.
I have only had one time where it was a problem and that was Ty's very first time. He was big, and only six months old. He saw a squirel, the leash was on the handle bars. he went one way and I went the other. Big gash on the ankle, other than that it was fine. Couple times the dogs would hit the wheel, I would reinforce the watch it cue, it taught them to watch the wheel better, and pay attention to me not there own running.
So wish I was there, I could teach you and your dogs.

I agree. You should give it a try. See what happens. Cockers aren't to fast, you should be able to do a great job.

Can't pull as hard as the bullies, so you will be able to correct if anything happens. I was trying to boost confidence, lol. Want you all to go try it today. Let me know how you do, hahaha!
I go through bikes like water. Thank goodness for Walmart and those wonderful cheap bikes. Mine right now needs tires. I want to buy the really good ones that don't go flat. Sand spurs can pop tires, it's an on-going thing. Good Luck today, lol.
