Last night, we had prime rib roast to bring in the New Year. I spilled a bit of juice on the pot holders. Mauree kept trying to get them and I moved them back. I forgot them this morning and left to get dog food. When I got back, he had the pot holder but also a whole big container of raisins. I watch where they are carefully but the potholders were too tempting so he got his nose further back on the counter. He is in the vet being fed charcoal and having his kidney numbers checked. The vet said he had about 2 cups. It only takes once when you have a Marley like dog that you always monitor. However, with the weather and my shoulder they are getting bored. I ordered a treadmill when I went to the Eukanuba show. I also think it is time to go snowshoeing. I got the OK from the doctor on Wed. I will let you know how my boy is later.

The little monster:D is home. He ate his dinner. He has to go back in 10 days to monitor kidney readings. He will be going with me to a flyball tournament tomorrow. He hates the drive but it will serve him right. He was very subdued except with the puppy. The two of them will go tomorrow. It is an indoor tournament so it will be good socialization.

They get into the strangest things, sometimes things you'd think they'd have no interest in. Glad he's doing okay!

It's very good to hear everything ended up OK ....
Neka got a small bowl of yellow grapes a week ago. There were about 10 left at the time. The vet said to keep an eye on her, but said 10 grapes shouldn't cause a dog her size any problems. She didn't have any problems.

I'm glad things are good so far. Hopefully those kidney tests will continue to be good. Wishing you well :D

Thanks for the concern. He definitely had charcoal stools today and last night. He ate well. I did not take him with me to the flyball tournament because he hates driving. I know he can get into mischief, my bad,not his. I hope to take a few to the mountains to get some exercise that will help. Blaze starts doggie dance classes on Monday. Not my thing exactly, but she is the only one who does not have something to go to. Opie does not need anything but Blaze does. I will let you all know what it was like.

Yes canine musical freestyle. Blaze is afraid of her own shadow sometimes and definitely other dogs so we will see. You won't get me in any of the costumes:)

Glad he seems to be doing well. It is so difficult at times to be ever vigilant. I have a bit of a problem myself. We have about 70 Almond trees and one of our Dogs Faye has realy taken a shine to Almonds. She keeps jumping at the trees to get them.
It's really difficult to keep her away from them!

A lot of my friends are surprised when I tell them how toxic raisins are to dogs. I pass the word around every time the topic comes up. So glad you knew it.
