so i am on a a plan that doesn't allow me to cook with fats, oils or butter. no bbque sauce, soy sauce, teriyaki, to much sodium cant have that either. i have used the lemon and garlic alot and getting bored already. made it greek, italian.

new something new, but remember no salt, sugar, oils, flour, butter. this stalls my metabolism and i am eating foods to jump start it.

does anyone have any recipes that i can try for meat, chicken, even fish...

What about Mrs.Dash? I know when I was on L.A. Weightloss they let me use mrs. dash and it was ok. There are different flavors so it is harder to get bored. :D

Everyone's taste is a bit different. Before his passing my dad was put on a restricted diet. Instead of salt, suger, and other "bad" stuf, I intruduced different herbs and spices.

I'd suggest that you drop a few bucks at the store and gwet a small contaner of any herb or spice you have never tryed and cook something with it. When i experiment, I take a small amount of ground bef or chicken and cook it in a smal nonstick pan. Once you know what they taste like, it will open a new world of cooking to you.

Oh, I almost forgot ...

You may also want ot check out some of the chefs that do Healthy cooking. One that comes to mind is Graham Kurr (Formally know as the Galloping Gormet). His website is at: http://www.grahamkerr.com

can you cook with sesame oil and fish oil like the chinese do? what about vegetable oil? surely they cant do any harm and will add different flavours to your food. turkey and mushroom stir fry done in sesame oil is scrummy and very low fat so you get the best of both worlds!

I would say you would need to grill/bake most of your meat if youre not able to use any type of oil for pan frying. You may want to try like a taco chicken...I used allrecipes.com to get a taco seasoning recipe...I'd just leave the salt out of it. And add a homemade salsa (to avoid added salt) and rice. I used to make it with the taco seasoning package but since then I avoided that and made my own. I think the taco seasoning mixture was great and I am sure it's just as good without the salt...you could use that with chicken or ground beef...maybe make a taco salad without the added taco shell.

1 tablespoon chili powder
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1 1/2 teaspoons ground cumin
1 teaspoon sea salt (**leave this out**)
1 teaspoon black pepper

Not sure which is more spicy. I would expect the cayenne is more spicy. I'm always so afraid to use it. :)

Next time you go to the market get yourself sone ginger root. It's very easy to grate and has a wonderful flavor. I mix mine with garlic and a little lemon and yummmmm it's soooo good.

I feel Dried Red Pepper Flake is HOTTER. Cayenne is still hot, but has more flavor. Just go easy to start with. You can always ADD more but you cant take it out!!! :D
