Hi there. Would like to talk with anyone whose dog has had (or does have) Pano. Our 11 month old Belgian Shepherd male started limping badly about 4 weeks ago and the vet said it was Pano. She said if it got worse she would do an x-ray to ensure this was the proper diagnosis.(He's due to be neutered the end of March so she'll bump that procedure up to be done with x-ray so he doesn't have to be under anthestic twice. ) Meanwhile, his limp has become more exaggerated and today he actually whined when lying on his back and stretching his front legs.

We got Max from the SPCA in December (10 months old) and he had a slight limp at the time but when I inquired they said it probably was ice/snow in the pads of his feet. He seemed fine the first month we had him home and is just a wild man with our 12 year old Blue Heeler/Shepherd cross female...bounding and leaping in the back yard.

Thanks for any input.

If it is Pano, this usually resolves by itself as the dog matures. Maybe your vet would find somehing else with x-rays though.

Hope the Belgian is coming along well.
It is always worrisome when our pets are hurting.
Best wishes.
