Hello there. I am a "mom" of not only 2 children but I have a 12 yr old boxer cross, a 1.5yr old cat, and we just adopted a 4 month old papillion. My boxer we adopted when he was the same age and we sure have had some great times but we know we only have so much time with him. So we got a puppy. We have only had large breed dogs so this guy is new to us. So I started to search the net to get some advice on raising and training our new addition. I found this site and I hope I get to know some of you and your beloved pets. And maybe get some advice along the way.

Welcome to you and your family of humans and furbabies.
I am not familiar with Papillon breed so it will be interesting hearing about your pup and how it is maturing and fitting in.
Please post a photo of your pets when you can.
Boxers I am familiar with and I love them in general. In the right home with the right training, they are the greatest. Obviously you are great owners yours is 12 !

Welcomne Spencersmom!!! Papillions are very bright. You must make sure you keep your puppy mentally and physically stimulated. They can be trained very rapidly if done right. Have great fun. Are you crate training the puppy? This is a good idea for everyone. When done correctly the crate is like a child's favorite blanket or toy. Take it with you when you travel and there are less adapting problems. If they ride in the car in the carrier they are safer. Even after they do not use the crate daily, when there are changes or you are somewhere unfamilar they will go to the crate and take the changes better.:)
