hey people! I am new here. I am wondering if there is an interest for custom designed dog clothing, outerwear, boots, fancy duds, etc. This means you choose the fabric, the style, then give me your dog's measurements, and I make a one-of-a-kind outfit or wardrobe for your best pal...it can even match something you already own, like your motorcycle jacket! I have over 30 years experience in the field of sewing and design, and I use everything from fleece to spandex to leather to fur. As for bling, well of course a new outfit would require jewellery or embellishment! Bling could be anything from plastic beads to Swarovksi rhinestones to semi-precious gemstones and sterling silver. All orders are custom-designed and unique. My website will be up and running very soon, and I will post the URL at that time. If you are interested and cannot wait, then feel free to contact me via private message! I ship worldwide and I have experience doing business online with a satisfaction rating of 100%. Also, if you have the type of puppy I am looking for for this coming spring(as mentioned in my newbie greeting post) perhaps we can work a deal on pricing! Currently I am looking for dog models for my website. If you are looking for fancy dog clothing and you would like a great deal, contact me and I can offer a great discount in exchange for a few dog photos for my website!
Looking forward to hearing from you, have a great day!

Congratulations! Am looking forward to your website being up and running.
I bought Casey one coat that I love but the colour is ugly. It was the only one available in her size.
The reason I bought it, is it is exactly like a college jacket, with the melton cloth, quilted lining and the white ribbed cuffs with stripes on them and the same thing at the neck. Got the idea?
The best thing about this jacket is: It zippers up Casey's back! It keeps her tummy warm and the rest of her too.
I want to get one that works just like that! in a nicer colour, possibly even something reflective for walking at night.
She is a cocker with lots of fur but not much on her tummy. With the temps going so low for a while, this jacket was a godsend and the harness fits right over it.
Good Luck with your business! I am looking forward to seeing your designs.
When one of my family comes with digital camera will get a photo of Casey's jacket for you.
Welcome!!!

welcome to k9mania. i think that what you are doing is a great idea because i own a rottweiler and all the coats and stuff to fit him are so old in stlye and i would just not put one on him they companys that already exsist seem to only cater for the smaller dogs for some reason will you be doing collars and leads to or just clothing? well good look and hope you are very successful

A zipper up the back makes sense. I would like a pic of that for sure, thank you. The reason I started doing the dog outfits, etc is because my cousin has a tiny dog and she was telling me how impossible it was to find decent warm clothing, rainsuits and especially booties for tiny breeds. The boots have to be light and pliable, or the wee ones can't walk properly.
Accessories such as collars, leads, jewellery, carriers, packsacks will also be available for purchase or custom order.
One of the best sellers is a rainsuit with a fleece liner that can be removed and worn separately, like the 3 in 1 jackets for humans.
Costs will vary with detail and design work, as well as how fast you need the duds.
I can pretty much make anything you want (except straw into gold!).
Thank you for the warm welcome!

I will be ordering the coat in the nice weather to give you lots of time before next winter.
This coat is made in Canada and it is machine washable(cold water) and dryable(low heat) 100% polyester fabric.
The little patch sewn onto it is a canadian flag with K-9 ACTIVE WEAR but I have had no luck trying to find the manufacturer of this line of items or another store selling them. The design is excellent and practical. Most coats have a strip under the tummy but no real protection.
For a female dog, I think they could be made with 4 arms to them so back legs could be protected and give me a place to attach the socks I use on slushy days. Just have to leave bum area open. Sounds simple to me in theory. When the jacket is open and you are looking at inside, it has strips of thin elastic sewn in (3 rows) across the tummy area. this makes it fit really nice.
I know the store where I bought it sold it in the smaller sizes in pink and blue and red and dark blue. I got stuck with the dark green as it was the only medium in the store in that style. Suspect they did not have a lot of these in stock to begin with. They likely got 1 in each style and colour to try them out and see how they would sell.
Anyways, It works well and has been washed a few times and I am thrilled with it and hope before it wears out I can get another one.
Sure like the sound of a raincoat with fleece lining. Casey hates getting wet.

I have some friends on another site that have Newfoundlanders and they need protection in slushy weather that would cover their legs and tummies.
These dogs are over 100 lbs and impossible to buy for.
Polyester or nylon gear like we use for running in the rain would work.
Seams would have to be overcast or french seams to prevent fraying. These would sure sell in any size.
Casey is so dirty right now from this wet mucky weather, she looks like a dirty mop that has never been rinsed out LOL
