Bad claws please help

Hi everyone im new to this so please bear with me lol:)

My GS over the week has had really sore claws and they are hollow inside and he has lost 2, although they are growing back he is very sore, and is licking them all the time. he is going to the vets on monday but just wondered if anyone has had the same problem with there dogs claws:confused:

This is not due to an injury? Oh poor dog!
I talked recently to a GSD owner whose dog accidentally pulled out a couple of claws but never heard of this!
Hope this can be resolved without a lot of infection. Sorry you have to wait until Monday. My vet is available on weekends. Bless her!
