Hi my friend has a boxer that is 8 yrs old and been in good help until lately. She took him to the vets and was diagnosed with inoperable insulinoma. We have been reading up on this. that it is the reverse of a diabetic with the sugar levels..her vet has put the dog on steroids and a antibiotic fearing that he also has a kidney infection too. the vet also told her that her dog has a growth on his liver and is giving her dog 4-8 months to live. She is besides herself ..has change diet to a high fiber, high protein and complex carbs. with Royal Canine brand dry and canned food....is there anymore she can do if anyone has heard of this disease any help would be appreciated..thanks in advance... :)
