We've done rally, obedience, tracking, lure coursing, and 3 of my 4 are Delta certified therapy dogs. Also trying out a bit of canine freestyle but haven't gotten too far with that. I did teach my Rom who died last summer to do the Hokey Pokey.

Hehe thats a good question...
Flyball I will be trying to do with Tayla, and MAYBE Tigger...hes such a big boy...:p he might be good but hes so big I can see him being so clumsy...

Tig has started agility backyard training...Shara would be doing this but she has luxating patillia

Obedience trials is my main goal, Shara will do her first comp in July! Tigger still has to be fixed and has to be 2 years old before he enters the ring.

Show conformation...well my next dog will be papered. Getting another doxie which will be my mom...dont know when that will be....

Scent trailing...I dabbled in SAR work but things didnt work out with the lady...long story...hehe

schutzhund/bite work...no interest in that, my dogs are very anti-bite hehe

Therapy work-When my dogs are retired from agility/obedience I hope they will become therapy dogs :)

Frisbee for Tigger is just to burn his energy up...I might dabble in some competitions but I dont know how to do any neat tricks with Tig, hes great at catching long distance though...hes just too big to vault and flip in the air LOL...

Unfortunatly there is nothing around here that doesn't cost an arm and a leg to do... :( We used to do obedience but not competitions or anything... just classes. I would love love love love love to do agility and I think my Cocker Nugget would ROCK it but I can't afford the training. :( Totally bummed about that!!!

Ya seeing a mo-hawk cocker spaniel do agility would be real awsome :D hehehe! You might want to search for a dog club and see if they have an agility course. The one I go to, you take 1 class so you know the basics, then on the weekends, you can go out to the course and they have 'members only' training...which to be a member of the club you pay 25 bucks a year...and the first agility class is like 20 bucks... :D

Mostly we just drag our service dog foster puppies along where ever we go, church, shopping, meetings, etc. They have service dog tags, and in our state, almost everywhere lets them in. I even take them to the dentist office. I also let a youth show them at 4-H obedience. Starting next week, Tux will be with me in the scorekeepers box at the youth baseball field 4 nights a week.

My guys do schutzhund or French ring [glad I don't have to call it Freedom Ring :D ] but we also dabble in tracking, obedience, rally and agility. I found that with their Schutz/French foundations the rest of the sports are pretty easy to do.

With my old boy we just play soccer and enjoy our walks.

aww now im feeling lazy! i dont do anything like that with my guys, i live on a very tight budget and everything costs so much! we tend to stick to long walks on the moors, although i have recently started laying scent trails for benson, he is amazing at sniffing out and finding stuff! Charlie gets all stubborn if we walk too far (he is a lazy boy) so i have to walk them seperately as Bense has loads of energy (lab/springer and it shows!) which cuts down on time too.

if anyone knows of anywhere in the uk that does affordable 'doggy' things could someone let me know? we dont even have dedicated dog parks down where i am.

Retrieval training is an almost daily activity. Serious training usually takes place on the weekend when I can drive to the training grounds and train with blinds, sets and combination runs and in the warmer months water retrievals (lots of swimming).

My therapy dog goes ALMOST everywhere with me. She's so well known locally that I went thrift sale shopping without her and all I heard was "Where's Elsa? I hardly recognize you without your dog". The dentist asked me where she was at my last visit too.:D

What do I do with my dog? Lots of hiking the ridges and valleys of central Wisconsin. And of course therapy dog stuff at the nursing home and local preschool.

Yes, a quick trip to the hardware? If I take the dog, everybody has to talk about it. If I don't take the dog, I have to account for it to the staff.

I'm really envious of those of you who can do classes with your dogs. In our little town there is nothing to do at all - well, one charity dog walk a year!! When I lived in the city I did obedience training and loved it. Might have to move back so I can do more doggy things now I have the time. :)

I had some extra cash and was debating doing a class with one of the dogs ( i hadn't decided which dog or what class). THen my truck needed $500 worth of work, so it saved me that difficult decision making process. I mean really, how could I decide which dog would get to go? Now I'm starting to save back up for some activity. I guess I could always do a class with one and teach the others as I'm learning? I wonder if anywhere would let me alternate with each class? That would be awesome!

Well...it was my hope to have Mozie in obedience training by now with a goal of therapy dog but time & money prohibit right now. Plus I adopted Merlin 5/02 and he's proving to be an aggressive yet gorgeous problem! Doing a lot of overtime at work and now the season says I have to work in the yard near all the time. Hopefully things will calm down in the fall. Merlin's now on Nothing in Life is Free so my hands are full!
