I am going to enter my first ever UKC show tomorrow with Belle, and Dusty! Dusty can only be entered in the non license class since he is only 4.5 months old, but it will be good practice for him, plus my 5 year old daughter is going to show him in sub-juniors. cross your fingers everyone :D

Good luck. Let us know how you do and what you thought of the process. That would help others who are thinking of doing the same thing.

I'm home. We did ok, Belle got third place. Not too bad since it was an outdoor show so of course it had to pour down rain right when it was my turn to go in the ring  and my 5 y/o daughter to decided to help groom by cutting out a couple of chunks of fur on the back of her ruff! We didn't show Dusty in the puppy class since it was raining so hard, but he my daughter did show him in sub-juniors. I will post pics later I am exhausted :D

Well good luck for that one!

Just remember to relax and have fun with it, who cares about placing in the beginning, just focus on learning and soaking up as much info as you can. If you keep it fun for both you and your dog you will do well. :D

Have you got some friends in showing who can give you tips? If you have any questions just post them on here and there will no doubt be someone on here who can help out, we have a few members who exhibit and Im sure they wouldnt mind offering some advice. :)

I didn't expect to win anything so it was a big surprise :D Dusty's breeder and her mentor both are helping me. They helped groom Belle, and explained how to make her look better. Unfortunatly Sherri wont be at the next show so I am going solo
