A new addition to the family arrived today.
Jake is a Jack Russell/Beagle. He is very obedient, very energetic, loves to play fetch, good eater and Casey my Cocker is so excited to have him here. They get along nicely. I now have two "attached at the hip" companions.
My concerns for Jake are: He is 8-10 years old and not neutered.
He drinks an awful lot of water in comparison to casey and he is constantly urinating. He goes out many times and pees every time, over and over.
So, I have to be concerned about hernia, diabetes, and the dreaded testicular cancer.
Such a wonderful dog who has been a devoted pet for almost 10 years and he was not neutered as a puppy and is at high risk for this cancer.
Whatever it turns out to be, we will deal with it but I am hoping for the least harmful to Jake diagnosis.
We sure are happy to have this wonderful little bundle of joy here though.
Welcome home Jake!
