personal dog cremation

when i did have to say goodbye to my yorkshire terrier of 15yrs , i knew deep down that the time would be near for him to leave us , i wanted him to come home after the event and looked on the internet for a private cremation service.

I found one , contacted them and when our friend passed the firm personally
picked him up from the vet individually cremated him ( there are no clinical or farm waste cremated at this private firm ) your dog goes in and your dog is your dog returns to you.

We were showed around the grounds & workshops nothing hidden , we were treated with respect and presented with our dog in a beautiful carved box containing his ashes in a satin purse.

Didnt want him burried he will be laid with us when we meet again

It is great that you found a respectful well run business to take care of your beloved when he passed away. Unfortunately a couple of years ago there was a business in MB which treated pets like garbage and the unfortunate thing is that they hurt a lot of people in the process. Luckily we had never used that business to care for our pets but we definitely felt for those that did and the pain they experienced.

Yes, i believe people have been misled to think that after cremation their dog
is returned as origional ashes.

i was told whilst at valley pet crem that ladys cat had died and brought in her old cats remains for her recent cat to be put in the container also.

The container was the size of a shoe box , john had an analysis conducted out of curiosity & it contained cat but also horse ash .

They never told the lady but when they cremated the second cat gave her
a beautiful container for both ashes

just an after thought i wonder if joint ashes occur with humans

I also choose this for Chip. Everything was taken care of by my Vet. I recieved his ashes back in about one week. I put him in his 16 yr old "Dalmatian" treet jar and had it sealed.

The thing that made having him cremated at the vet office even more special was that i got a personallized sympathy card from the Clinic staff and Everyone signed the card. And i mean everyone. Even the inturns.

In Florida dogs are not allowed to be buried with humans but I have no plans to be buried. I opted/paid extra for my 3 previous dogs to be individually cremated and they were returned to me in nice little marble containers that can be personalized. I don't want to believe those remains are not my precious babies so I do not dwell on it. Two are buried in their urns but I cannot bring myself to bury Maxwell's cremains at all. When I'm ready it will be dones or I will get him a plaque for his urn and keep him close to me always. He was special. He was my heart.

I dont want to be burried , i will be cremated and mine and the ashes of my dog will be scattered together , no one can stop that

I understand that feeling. Major, my Chocolate Lab, was cremated back in 2004. To date he is still in his carved wooden box in my living room. I say goodnight to him every night before retiring to bed. I had every intention of burying him in the box under his favourite tree in the garden, but I have never got to the time where I felt it was right. How glad am I now, as this year the tree looks as if it is dying.

I cannot bring myself to bury Maxwell's cremains at all. .... He was special. I feel the same way as well. Thats why I made the "Memorial Garden" in my yard. It is a great way to remember him everyday as well as continue to celibrate his beautiful spirit. Twice a year I display is Urn in the garden.

I will be doing something like it for my two beautiful ladys someday as well.
