You all asked for it, so here it is peeps!
K9mania's second purebred dog show!:D
Now, it will be the same rules as last time, but for the ppl who didnt enter or werent here at the time, it goes as follows....
1. Groom your dog up. Either at a groomers or at home. Bath, blowdry, etc.
2. Stack your dog in a professional style. Here's a link to show you how. http://www.ehow.com/video_2348488_stack-dog-show-ring.html
3. Snap away! Try to get a few different shots of your dog and choose the best one to post.
4. Judging will be based on conformation first and foremost. Then grooming and stance.
Good luck kids!:D
P.S. The winning dog will receive a prize in the mail, all the way from australia, so get into it folks!

Oooo very tough! I've got quite a few good ones! I've got two photos - one has proven to be more appealing to breeders and longtime people in the breed, the other has been the favorite of people not-so-experienced in the breed. I'm taking a risk here... but I'll post the photo that breeders like. :)

I love your blonde boys, cockermom! I wish that my hair shone like theirs! EVerybody's dogs are gorgeous. I tried last night, but it ended with me on the floor with 3 dogs licking my face somehow. So I'll recruit my Danny to help me take the pics.

It's the closest to a side shot I could get by myself. We trained him to 'sit' when they want what's in our hand so getting him to stay standing was a task in itself.

I'd hate to have to judge these. You all have some beautiful dogs.

Might as well include the corgi too.... definitely just for the fun of it, since she doesn't have a champion in her pedigree anywhere... she's from working stock lines. ;) Mom and Dad weren't champions, but they worked with the stock for 8-12 hours a day.

I do apologise at the lateness of my reply in this thread! The reason is that it has been so hard to choose a winner, they are all so great and its torturous to have to choose!
Unfortunately I couldnt choose just one, so we have two winners for this comp! Those gorgeous dogs are.........
Speedway Springer's "Tri Star"!
Tristar's grooming is impecible! He is well muscled with perfect balance. What a well rounded looking animal, he is a perfect example of his breed!
Well done SpeedwaySpringer!
Our other winner for this comp is Sizzledobes' "Kaylee"!
Kaylee has a great topline and a nice 'extreme' head and neck. She is very typey and at such a young age will be a hard bitch to beat in the ring.
Well done Sizzledobes!
Can both Sizzledobes and Speedwayspringer please PM me your postal address and you will receive your prizes in the mail in a few weeks!
Id love to address each dog that entered, but i think the post would end up too long, so congrats to all, your dogs are just beautiful!

OMG!!!! Thank you Thank You!!! it was tough competition for sure...i also loved Sizzle's dog...all the dogs were great.
We are very humbled...as Bentley is a real tough dog to groom...he isn't a fan of the clippers near his head for some reason...ugh but with two of tackling him we get it done:) the body is a peice of cake.

Its so unfair being the judge, I want to put them all up as winners!
I think in the next comp someone else can be judge and Ill post my kids' pics and enter! Takes the strain off me having to choose.
Now, who wants to be next comps judge?

Woohoo! When should the next "virtual show" be? Should we wait a bit to give people a chance to get some different photos if they need to?
Some background on me, just so people know my background...
... I've shown several breeds, I've been showing for about 11 years now. I started out showing corgis for one of my early mentors. I've worked for a few professional handlers - a cocker spaniel handler, a shih tzu/poodle handler, and two all-breed handlers. I've shown corgis, whippets, a great dane, setters (english and irish), sibes, a few aussies (though never very well - their heads are in the clouds, I'm used to more serious dogs!), german pinschers and obviously several dobermans. I was never allowed to take in any poodles, shih tzus or cockers. I just did the grooming. ;)
I show in AKC and UKC. I've owner-handled Kaylee to 6 AKC points so far (I've had her less than 6 months), as well as her UKC championship. Not hard to do, but she finished with a Best in Show. :)

I had searched for a while for a dog coat that could keep my baby clean straight from the groomers. I couldn't find the right thing so....
I have recently started a company called Doggie Macs Ltd, we make made to measure waterproof dog coats for those who like to endulge their pets. They won't break the bank and will definately save money in the long run from minimising future groomer trips, carpet cleaning, bathing etc. They can even reduce the risk of catching fleas from other dogs.
Please check them out and leave me some feedback on what you think of the product, I would really appreciate it.

Thanks!
