Nope, not a dog, but a bird. Woke up today to find her on the bottom of the cage. So miserable. I am petrified of birds, but she never bit me, never flew away from me, and she was the only one I'd care for. We knew it was going to happen, she was puffing herself out and ruffling herself and getting ready for it, but I didn't expect it the day before Noodle's 1 year..and now I'm just making excuses for how depressed I really am.

Just as hard on ya to lose a bird as it is for a furry cuddle-bug. My condolences on your loss. Lord did I cry buckets when I came home for lunch and found my cockatiel gone. Went back to work and the only one who cared kept hovering and finally said "one of the dogs?". I shook my head no and asked him to come back later please. He did and I told him about my cranky bird passing. She was a sweetheart when she wanted to be.

Sorry for your loss. :( I know how you feel if you remember today is the one year anniversary of my brothers death too... :( My mom won't even answer the phone... She is mad at me for something I don't know what.

Being a bird owner myself, I know exactly how you feel. It does not matter what species, a pet is a pet, and a pet is a loved one, and a loved one is family.
May Fluffy fly high in the skys up there at Rainbow Bridge. =many huggles=
