:( i didnt really know where to post this but i thought this was the best place to.
last friday we went down to our local car dealers at about 9pm it was dark and nobody was arouund, we were looking round the cars when this dog runs up to us, at first i thought it was a guard dog because all i felt was its feet, it then moved into the light an it looked like some kind of staffy cross (lab maybe)either way it wasnt very old, we were petting it whilst looking around for an owner i had hold of it collar by the loop that the you put the lead on, then a car came screeching round the corner, the dog jolted its collar out of my hand and ran into the road, the car that was coming towards it turned into a dead end road an hit the dog whereas if they had gone straight on they would have missed it, the dog got up and ran off, i ran to look forr the dog an searched for 3 hours without any look we rang the pollice and the rspca and they wouldnt come out to help find the dog, the guys that hit the dog just sat in the car an wouldnt get out to look for him. at 12pm we went home and rang the dog warden but like the rspca wouldnt go out an look for it, the next morning we searched the area and called into local shops to see if anyone had put up posters saying they had lost there dog, after no look we headed home but decided to pop into the vets to see if they had herd anything, when we arrived there was an rspca van outside so i quickly ran inside and the dog was lay there on a blanket in the waiting room my heart was in my mouth and i couldnt breath because of the state the dog was in, i stayed with the dog while he had an xray and checked if he had a microchip, he had no microchip and had broke his back, we then found out he had been hit by another car, the dog was then put down. if i had known he was a stray i would have held his collar tighter i feel like i failed that poor little dog, the thing that upset me most was the people that hit it wouldnt look for it, im sorry little furbaby, no more pain for you at rainbow bridge
