FINALLY! A place to fuel my obsession!

Hi! I am so excited to have stumbled upon this forum! A place to fuel my number one obsession - CASSIDY ROSE - the absolutely most beautiful prima dona of a golden retriever (please! just try to challenge me on this self-proclaimed title). She is 6 years old, but acts like she's 2. We love to walk and swim and snuggle - life is good! My hope with new found forum is to learn more from other dog owners, share some of my own insights (might as well learn from MY mistakes!), and meet new people (and dogs). Of course I do have a major fondness for Goldens so hope to connect with more owners.

I found the forum last month, a few odd posts but mainly good. I love goldies also but my husband has told me to limit the number of breeds I have! 4 dachshunds, 1 Boxer (old gal) and 1 Great Dane (old fella). My husband has allergies so he suggested a non moulting dog would be my next option. My kids handle the dachshunds - they love obedience classes, but all the dogs view me as pack leader and the kids as fellow pups.

Talking about goldens when I was a kid I had the best dog in the world and she was part golden retreiver and cocker spaniel. She was the size of a spaniel but looked like a golden. Best dog a kid could ever have. She was my pal. I was a middle child and felt left out alot but because of my faithfull companion and she was all mine anyway I never felt alone because she was always there for me. We did everything together. It was 1 year after I moved away from home that she passed away at the age of 13. Will always hold a special place in my heart. I miss you Cassey
