I am a new member. My name is Linda and I have one dog; terrior/corgi , 3 cats; one domestic, two siamese and a skinny pig.
My dog is almost 8 years old and his breath is absolutely horrible. I have never brushed his teeth (he won't let me) but I give him dental bones and breath freshener biscuits. Nothing helps. Any suggestions?

Hi, I Started Out By Putting The Beef Flavored Toothpaste On My Finger And Rubbing It Around The Teeth And Gums. They Liked That Taste And You Can Slowly Introduce A (very) Soft Toothbrush. Later I Discovered That Some Of My Doxie's Perferred Children's Bubblegum Flavored Crest Toothpaste. Hope This Helps-repition Is Important!

are your dogs teeth ok?,tartar builds up on dogs teeth and if not checked can cause bigger problems later.fresh marrow bones help clean teeth.

I am new to K9 mania and I just read Linmarie's post
I rescued an old fila male and he had atrocious breath my vet recommended greenies(disolvable dog chews) and 2 to three times a week plain yogurt as bad breath can come from their digestive system. His teeth are no longer coated in brown tartar and his breath is much better now

At 8, a dog starts to become a "senior," you might take it to the vet to make sure that it's gums and teeth are fine. Bad breath can signal, teeth problems. I use dentubones for the teeth of my dogs. My 11 year old, is just at the point where she may have to have her teeth done. Remember like humans, tooth and gum disease can lead to other infections:)
