When I go to flyball, agility, herding, and dock dog competitions, I see that many people train their dogs well for their sport but forget that they are athletes, not weekend warriors. That means one must consider the psychological and physical training of both dog and owner. More and more owners have multi-sport athletes or dogs competing in different sports. This forum is for discussing issues such as sled dog training on dry land, how to train weave poles, what type of sheep to buy if getting into herding, or debating rules and regulations within a particular sport. Does competing in flyball make a dog to hyper to compete in other calmer environments? As a thread grows, we will dedicate an entire forum to that topic.
