Welcome Beausdad!! I am not into hunting but I love to watch the competitions on Versus (OLN). The trust between dog and owner is incredible. One of the reasons I started this forum is because many times the trainers for hunting, agility, flyball, herding, etc. don't always see value in other training styles/methods. But I believe that everyone can learn from the exhange of ideas and debating the issues around training, health, etc. How much training goes into a good hunting dog? A competition dog? He looks as intent and happy as my dogs do when they are herding. How old is he? Thank you for the pictures. The other pictures are great. What a happy dog.:)

Beau is 9 years and really hasnt slowed much for a senior.:)
Pulling the trigger aside, a good hunting breed dog is priceless to watch in action.

Hunting dogs are lots of fun. I help some friends with their GSP's when it comes time to test thier pusp for NAVDA. and then occasionaly go out hunting quails.

I recently purcashed a ESS with both field /bench lines..hope to start her soon..

good luck hunting this year
