Hi there...
2 months have passed since I lost my precious Bailey, and I have been doing ok. I have a new dog coming next Saturday, not to replace my Bailey Boo but to share the memories of her.
I have been okay, and then BAM today is really tough...everything I see and do reminds me of her, and the tears are back, and I miss her more today then ever.
It does get easier day by day, but today is just a tough day. A little sad.

I understand...it has to be hard because you are getting a new dog. That probobly reminds you of Bailey even more. Stay tough and tell us about your new pup!

Hey Mary-Ellen, I am so sorry about your loss. Remember we're here if you want to talk. It always helps to talk, even on the internet. Heart-healing vibes going your way.:)

Hi

Losing a dog is always upsetting, I can still get upset about my dogs that passed away over 10 years ago, having a new dog is never a replacement just another opportunity to give an animal a good and happy home (and get lots of cuddles to cheer you up).

There are always people here to listen if you want to talk, and I hope you will enjoy your new dog and we look look forward to seeing pictures.

You will be back together someday! She is waiting for you! You will cross that rainbow bridge and she will be right their waiting :) Having a new dog come into your life is a good thing, focus on the memories that you have shared together, never forget those. Start making new ones with your new dog as she to will come to love you and you will share a similar bond together. Good luck! I hope to hear from you soon about all the new stories you share with your lucky new dog :) That dog is so lucky to have a owner that is as caring as you.

I still miss my last dog, Maggie, she died 8 years ago. I loved her, she was my first dog. She wasn't my first, but she was the first that was mine and she didn't care about anyone else. She was a Rhodesian/lab mix, and she lived to be 13, which is quite good. But she had a great life, with lots of love, walks, and treats, and that's all you can give your dog, and they never blame you for anything that happens to them. So don't be sad, be glad your dog had a good home with you.

it is hard and like every one says each day gets easier slowly but there are times when our hearts sing out to our loved ones that we still miss them so, so, much even year later
