Since I got Cerberus at the beginning of this year, we go for walks, bike rides, and trips to the dog park. I have not caught a cold from any of my coworkers, I haven't been getting as many headaches, and I am so much less stressed and I can deal with a lot more. Losing 15 pounds wasn't bad either, but I'm more glad that I don't get sick. Let's hope the addition of Brigit helps keep me this way!

The effects animals have on the humans heath are amazing. I was reading up on this a while back and find it so touching. I am actually thinking of turning my two mutts into therapy dogs, for the local retirement homes. They often have to leave there pets when placed into homes. SO SAD. But, i really think we could all make a differenc e in other peoples lives if we set or minds to it. So cool you have noticed the cange in yourself!!

How wonderful for you! They do say having a dog makes you live longer:D I don't know if thats true, but I know if Nemo doesn't like a certain person I usually don't like them either:D I really believe dogs know the good from the bad..

I believe that with the elderly generation dogs and pets in general are their link to wanting to stick around awhile longer. It makes the owner get out and walk more, socialize more, and gives them someone to take care of, besides themselves. I know that when my gram had Dolly, she was always up and about. When Dolly passed, Gram started to give up.

I've always been very stressed and anxiety-ridden, and my dogs have helped me to relax and laugh a lot more. I absolutely believe you though. Dogs help everything.

On health surveys, they ask if you are married, have kids, or pets. Having pets will keep you healthier, emotionally and physically vs. a person that does not have any kids or pets. I'm not commenting on the "married" one! One might argue they are healthier being single than previously being married.

Wow thats really neat to hear, I mean I've observed the benifits on the dog but never really thought of the benifit to the owner, come to think walking your dog really gives you time to think about things too. Something that usually we won't do as a cause of our busy lifestyles.
OHHHHHHHHH my only problem right now is the pollen in the air, I'm allergic and walking junior through fields of flowers doesn't alleviate the problem.:o

Exactly. My nose is running almost constantly when i'm outside now. The funny thing is that both of my dogs noses run too. So all of us go outside and start sneezing and snorting. We're a sight!
