As Vice President of this Florida-based organization, I am urging all pet lovers to check out our website, www.petsincondos.org, and sign our petition, which seeks to reform the "No Pets" rule that prevails in so many South Florida condominiums and HOAs. Untold numbers of people are prevented from having pets in such housing, and are often forced to choose between their home and their pets! It would seem inconceivable that such a situation could exist, but such, I'm sorry to tell you, is the case in the Sunshine State. It is not at all uncommon for pet owners to be embroiled in costly, emotionally wrenching Court battles with their Condo Boards over pet ownership! There are thousands of cats and dogs languishing in overcrowded animal shelters that COULD be adopted by loving homes, if only we could bring about the needed reform. Please join us in STOPPING THE CONDO WAR ON PETS by signing our petition. We already have over 15,000 names on the combined online and printed versions of the petition.

I will check it out. I live in an apartment complex that allows pets, but I looked at a number of places last time I moved that would not allow pets. It was frustrating

Yeah, I had the same problem finding an apartment that allowed dogs. Check out this site...it had some pretty useful tips for finding a dog friendly apartment.

We are now at 19,000 names on our petition. I urge ALL PET LOVERS to go to www.petsincondos.org, and sign on to bring about much-needed reform of the antiquated, illogical, and hurtful "No Pets" rules that predominates in most South Florida condominiums and other forms of Association-run housing. Thousands of pets languishing in overcrowded shelters facing the possibility of euthanasia, unable to be adopted by people wanting to do so, because this "No Pets" rule prevents condo owners from having a cat or a dog! Is this CRAZY or what!!!!

I happen to live in a condo in South Florida that allows dogs, but have a friend who had to move out of their house and has not yet been able to find a condo that allows dogs in her price range. I signed the petition.
Thanks
