I've been lurking here for a few weeks and have noticed
some excellent posts and a great sharing of knowledge.

I hope to add to the knowledge base and am available
to answer questions on dog health and dog food
questions on a fairly regular basis.

I look forward to sharing knowledge, learning new
things about dogs and making new friendships.

Thank you! Since Casey (5 yr old cocker wh/buff) adopted me last summer, that has been the biggest challenge; figuring out what she was fed. I know that she will not eat dry dog food. She also will not eat raw. So, we have compromised and I give her human grade cooked meat with chopped fruit and veggies (not mixed together) she likes everything in its own little spot in the bowl. she eats them in a particular order and if it is new, it has to be from my hand first, then she'll eat it out of the bowl. Her weight has been good until she was spayed, now I have to watch calories a little more. Now that she is housebroken, I have cut back on the treats. She is addicted to shark cartilage biscuits. She is not interested in chewing rawhide or toys or raw bones very much so baby carrots are her toothbrush. Her teeth are great though. Her ears and fur tell me when something is not working in her diet.
Looking forward to at least 10 years with this wonderful little girl.
