*waves* Hello, everyone,I am sorry I haven't been on lately,...
Annhawes and Noodlexmamma, sorry I couldn't catch the news that Rom and Noodles were sick. There doing much better right.
By the way,I finally found a dog book that intrests me. Evidence, that dogs can read simple words such as sit, shake, and lie down. Two paragraphs from my book. (This book is "Paws and Effect:The healing Power of Dogs")
Paragraph 1(so your not confused)
Then, when I was doing my reasearch one summer,I realized that humans had began communicating in the earliest years with stick figures. Then they turned stick figures sideways because there were only so many stick figures that people could remember, thats how they invented writing"Also, in China and Japan I found that the dogs they were training there could differentiate the Chinese and Japanese characters with all the slashes. You wouldn't think they could, but the cards were held up and they would read them. She started showing her dogs stick figures and they responded.Again,it was simple classical conditioning. It didn't seem anything big. Untill, an accident rocked her world.
Paragraph 2:
One of the trainers Jorjan, had a dog that could read the cards but had never seen the stick figures. So I told her "Go up onstage with these two stick figure cards and teach Norton what to do". But,Jorjan didnt hear me. So,when she went up onstage, she didnt go throughthe procedure of teaching the dog.She just held up the card.I was sitting in the back of the room thinking "Oh, no Jorjan!you've messed it up-your supposed to teach the dog!"The dog stood there, sitting really concentrating on the card.I felt so embarrassed for him. And,then suddenly the dog---sat.
Ill be happy to offer another amazing part of this book if you ask. I love it.
