Del Mar Dog Beach

:) One of my favorite places to take the dogs is the beach in Del Mar, Ca. They have a special beach that dogs can be let off leash all day from Oct. to June and in the morning and evening the rest of the year. The dogs love to play in the surf, no mater how many times you throw them the ball they will keep chasing it until they are shivering from the cold. Do any of you have a favorite beach or lake that you like to take your dogs to so they can swim and frolic in? I will try and put up a few pictures or a video of the dog beach in Del Mar.

cool! i'm going to california for a few months in september. it's nice to know that there's a dog friendly beach close to me!

No dogs allowed in the public beaches here.
I live in a tourist area and the waterways are part of it and protected.

There are a couple of little beaches where we get away with it.

My cocker does not go in the water but bet Jake the JackaBea
would if I threw a ball.

This beach sounds awesome! I would love anymore information you have and pictures would be great. It sounds like a non stressful place for the dogs to be free!

I wish there were more dog friendly places. I think that my town is definitly not dog friendly. I guess I have a dream!:)

I guess that I take living in rural Alberta for granted. In the small town that I live in, I'm even able to take my dogs into most of the local businesses. Most people even acknowledge Bandit before they acknowledge me! Most of our parks have no leash laws- owners perogitive. They only ask that you clean up after your pets. I usually forget that you folks living in the big cities don't have all the perks that us country bumpkins get to enjoy- and yes, take for granted. We really are lucky to live where we live. ;)

I live in a small college town and you think it would be friendly but it isn't. I wish our down town businesses were so nice. ha And most of them have dogs. Its a good place to raise kids though. I guess I can't have everything.
