I like dogs now!

Hi there,

I would like to introduce myself - I am Maria from Wiltshire in England. I am very new to the whole dog thing....

I grew up thinking all dogs were scary and bit people. This was largely because my Mum (and her Mum) didn't like dogs and (unintentionally) passed this on to me and my sister. Now, at 30 years of age, my husband finally persuaded me for us get a dog, and we have a lovely 5 month old Boxer.

The amazing thing is that this has helped overcome my fear of dogs as I now understand their behaviour and how to handle them. My sister really likes our puppy and my Mum is coming round to him too!

I'd be interested to hear from anyone else who has had a similar experience.

Hello Maria, My name is Beth and a fellow boxer owner. I have a two year old male Brutus and a 18 month old Female Dixie. I also have three male chihuahuas and some two birds. The dog thing is not new to me. You could say I am a big time dog person. I am a member of a really great Boxer Forum kinda like this one but just for boxers. Its a great way to have a healthy and happy boxer. They can be quite a handful and expecially since this is your first dog ever. It might get a bit overwhelming because I got that way and I have had dogs. They can be quite stubrun at times but the best dog you will ever own. BoxerTalk.Org is the website I am talking about.
