Help my pom is possessed!!!

My 9 week old Pomeranian seems to be quite possessed at times. There is nothing I can do to calm her down short of putting her in her crate which I was led to believe is bad to do because you shouldn't use the crate as punishment. She will wrap her teeth around my finger and bite as hard as she can meanwhile making god awful noises. I have tried leaving the room for 30 seconds and she cries but when I come back she does it again. She continually will latch onto my hand and bite down very hard. The only thing that calms her down besides her crate is when she is so exhausted she becomes a loving puppy again. Has anyone experienced this??? Will she grow out of it??? Help.

At nine weeks your pom needs someone to play with and she picked you. As for the biting down too hard, do what the mother does in the nest. Hand over nose and pinch her lips against her teeth till she yelps, she will soon get the message. You can also carry a favourite toy with you and when she attacks your hand, say NO firmly and give her the toy. Roll up some old facecloths and freeze them, when she starts with the biting, replace the facecloth for your hand. Maybe her teeth are bothering her.
