We have three Boston Terriers, two males and a female. The female is the dominant one and the males do not protest. All three get along quite well but there are a few problems. One causing us concern is the youngest, a male, becomes aggressive with the oldest, also a male, whenever the situation calls for "protection". That is to say, the younger seems to react as if to be saying, "Only I should bark or protect the family" and turns agressive towards the older male. How can we discourage this? characters left:

You need to take control of ALL of the dogs. DO NOT allow any of them to take the leadership role in your pack. YOU need to be the leader and tell them what you expect of them. When one of them becomes dominate or agressive, you need to take control at that second.

Showing leadership of the pack starts with setting rules and boundries for them and enforcing them equally to all of the dogs.
