Are You Gettin Ready?

It's that time of year again. Dust of those cookbooks and get your questions ready. I love cooking and i love helping people with their holiday cooking. This is my favorite time of year. i have been hosting thanksgiving, christmas and new year's eve and day for the past 8 years. it is a lot of fun. i try to come up with new dessert from the traditional desserts. so when November first rolls around i can help you with your cooking questions.

I have been helping my mom in the kitchen well since i could use a peeler! about 5 years old. that was my job peeling anything. I hated it then, but don't mind now.

it's mine! NO it's mine! MOOOOOOM!
rest in peace my little Nikko. until we meet again. momma misses you and her heart aches every time she thinks of you, wishing you were still here to play with Joey and Elsa.

I admire you guys who enjoy cooking and baking. I absolutely HATE it . I cringe when we host family get togethers at my house. Cooking is probably the *only* responsibility my husband has at home, he enjoys cooking and really does well at it!

gsdmama - do you have any good Banana Nut Bread recipes? Can't seem to find one that isn't too mushy or dry.

I love cooking too, just the dishes is what I cringe about. Do you get left with the dishes?

I dont have any issues doing dishes at all, UNLESS they are not rinsed out before hand. That has got to be one of my biggest pet peeves, dried up gross dishes...

*shudders* Same here, it makes me gag to see food still in the dishes, hehehe but when I do cooking I don't have to do the dishes, turns out well! Oh and its all by hand, no dishy-washer here!

Sara Lee Frozen. j/k Here's one I've used ever since I was 9 years old.

EZ Frezzy Pumpkin Pie

INGREDIENTS
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup canned pumpkin puree
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon Pumpkin spice
1 quart Bryers vanilla ice cream, softened
2 (9 inch) prepared graham cracker crusts

DIRECTIONS
In a large bowl, stir together the brown sugar, salt, pumpkin and cinnamon. Mix in the softened ice cream until well blended. Spoon into the pie crusts and place them in the freezer. Freeze for at least 3 hours before serving.
