Ok, Husband had a worse day than me

My husband got backed into by a large truck on his way home wednesday. He rides a motorcycle, so it was particularly scary when he called to tell me. Luckily, he's ok, he's got some swelling on his left leg, we get the xray results today, but I think it's just a bad sprain. We just wanted to be sure. Poor guy. The man that hit him isn't answering his insurance's phone calls. This is gonna be interesting.

Just a low down and you guys might already know this...the ins carrier has 30 days to attempt to contact this guy (was this way at my last job in FL..so may be diff for TX but doubt it). They usually will send out some certified letters. If after no contact, they will make a decision without him based on your story, po report, and any witness info. So it might be a slow process if he's refusing to cooperate and that's how it sounds. But the ins company will work the ropes tyring to get him to do what he needs to do b/c by law they have to give him time to respond.

That's a bit scary all right - glad to hear your man is all in one piece and not too badly hurt. Hope the insurance goes OK too.

Got the x-ray back. It's just a bad sprain. Weird when that's the good news! Still no answer from the truck driver. but that's good info to have labmom, thanks. Danny boy is feeling better, but not 100% yet. Thanks for all the well-wishes.

They say that bad things come in threes so you should be well situated to receive some good coming your way now that all the bad is out of the way.

Good luck with the insurance company and a speedy recovery to hubbie.

Glad he is okay! Sounds like the other person is trying to dodge the issue. I hope everything works out!
