Ok Chef Michael: My doc says that I need to eat liver ugh!!!!!. It seems that I am working to much and not eating enough, well SURPRISE this is my busiest time. So he has suggested things like liver, salmon and other things. He insists that the liver would be really good for me. So give me a good way to cook liver so that I DON"T know what it is lol. Hugs Susan and Lexcee

SORRY ... there isn't ANY way to cook liver that will make it taste good!!!

The only way i can eat it is to pan fry it with bacon and onions or chopped very fine and cooked into an omlet with ham, onions and green peppers.

The key to liver it to not cook it to long. It turns into shoe leather it you cook it past medium. Cook it to medium, put it on a warm plate, and then cover it with foil and let it finish cooking on its own under the foil.

A friend of mine has been promising me "Liver and Onions" and swares it is the best thing ever!!! I'll let you know how it turns out!!!

I love liver with rich onion gravy - yum! Michael's right, never overcook it or it's awful. Try a mild one like lamb's or calf's. However Susan if that's not an option, what about a liver pate on crackers or toast instead? Disguise it with a bit of tomato and lots of black pepper if you need to! Sounds like you are lacking iron - I guess you could take a supplement if the liver thing is just too disgusting. Good luck!!

We are playing touch football tonight, so i'll need to have something quick beforehand.. 2 minute noodles hahahaha na, I dunno!! Hopefully something nice, as I am dying for some food.. and I don't wanna go across the road and eat crap!!
Proudly owned by Sammie, Kai and Zeekie (kitten), who I love to death xo

- If your dog doesn't like someone you probably shouldn't either.

We had potatoes cooked in cream with garlic and onions, panfried steak, mushrooms and mixed vegetables. And it was very, very good!

We've got a pile of herring to use up so have been making fish cakes for dinner, and some to freeze for later.

When you freeze them, do you put them in a freezer bag and fill the bag with water? I do that with fresh fish and it keeps it from getting freezer burn.

I'll have to try that with our next lot - thanks Michael, you come up with some great ideas!
