a breakthrough!!

ok this is really sad, but im so chuffed! after two years charlie finally gives paw!!! now you may think what it took you that long? well hes turning into a really awesome dog as far as epilepsy is concerned. he alerts for my mum and has no training which has been a huge weight off my mind. the neighbours know that is hes barking non stop they should come round as she is on her own and seizing.

hes got sit, stay, lay down and stop all sorted and his recall is great, lead work is coming along, but im lazy and tend to just take him for off lead runs lol. but hes never given paw. admittedly theres no delicacy in the way he does it, its almost like hes boxing hes so enthusiastic about it. he slams his paw down its hilarious.

im just so pleased so i thought id brag about my headstrong terrier

Awesome! Tis one of the first things I taught Mozie cause he's a food fanatic! I had to settle him down some cause he's too big to run rampant over me. Didn't even have time to put the food dish down before he was eating it! Crazy dog but I love him. The sit, stay, paw gives me a few seconds to at least get the food bowl on the floor...

Well done Charlie! They all learn different things at different times don't they, and all are cause for celebration.

Isn't it fun when the light bulb comes on in their heads and they suddenly "Get it"? Sometimes Elsa knows what I want but isn't sure she wants to let on that she knows-because it may not be something she wants to do. Playing dumb?

Congrats on that! LOL @ the boxing part!

One of the first tricks Junior knew was to give paw.... as a matter of fact when he's throwing behaviors (i.e. he doesn't know exactly what I'm asking for) he'll give paw, just in case thats what I'm asking him to do
