Davey: Pretty sure Beckie3889 meant it as a "term of endearment" when she called her dog silly, not a description of her dogs state of mind, nor of her dogs actions. I on the other hand can surely say that many times, my dog, like his owner, can and will glady wave the "silly" flag to get a laugh and a smile outta someone....Not sure what to make of your Katie story? Do I hear the drip of sarcasam? If not, forgive me. LOL

yeah your right ttballmom it was a term of endearment. Im from the UK and we.... or shall i say I use the word silly alot. Not silly meaning in stupid but silly as in a funny quirk. All my friends, infact everyone i know use the word silly practically all the time when talking about each other. Silly yeah i know lol
Anyway ive never actually seen any dog avoid puddles. most ive seen dont think twice of walking straight through one. and when everyone sees Holly avoiding them they think its unusual...And some of those people have been dog owners so thats why i had asked if anyone elses dog avoided them. and am actually surprised there are quite a few.

one of my labs hates being rained on, i was at a plant fair with her once and the heavens opened she went competely nuts doing the shimmy slide on me and anything dry she could find including the plant stand fabric drapes and other people,in the end i had to hold an umbrella over her while i stood in the rain!!

Love that expression. Shimmy Slide. It always makes me laugh out loud when Toto runs around the house after a bath, doing the shimmy slide. I'm stealing that expression....LOL

hhhhmmmmm, Jack has this problem too. It is tough because you will not notice ti until you are begin pulled to one side by your dog. Luckey 4 me, it does not rain often here so i have not had to fix his problem. I guess i really do not know what to do either?

Please... help fight BSL.
Not for me, but for them.

My little Ty does not like to be wet or dirty. That's why the muddy dog pics I posted a while ago where so great. He was so filthy. Today it was raining and I had a hard time getting him out of the car because he didn't want to get rained on. When I did get him out he ran for the door. Funny.

Both my boys love walking in puddles, whether rain or mud. I get home after a day of rain and they are DISGUSTING! I have to give them both a bath before they are able to come inside they are THAT bad.

Sammie and Kai also don't mind going to the toilet in the rain.
Proudly owned by Sammie, Kai and Zeekie (kitten), who I love to death xo

- If your dog doesn't like someone you probably shouldn't either.
