Talking retired greyhound

Has anyone adopted a ex racing greyhound ?

The facts about these dogs is amazing , the plight they have to endure is from a very cruel industry.

These dogs are the fastest canine and can reach speeds of 40mph

There was a 3 yo GH with a young couple at the Shelter Fund Rasier last weekend. It is a well mannered dog and they said it is a great pet. They got him before it started having physcal problems. It turns out that he is one of the "slower" greyhounds. He wasn't a consistant winner so they 1st owner got rid of him.

They current owners both run, (she in the am, he in the pm) so the dog gets two 6 mile workouts everyday ...

Yes my grandma had an ex-racer. She was a sweet ole girl, sadly my grandma had to find her a new home as she got too old to deal with a dog that size that thought it was a lap dog.

They are very sweet breed. I honestly would love to get a saluki someday, I think they are beautiful and elegant.

I pet sit for a retired racer. He's a sweet boy. So gentle for such a big guy.
