I have a harness thing my parents put tayla in and she rides motorcyles...is that what you mean...putting a dog in a 'backpack' or do you mean where you strap on backpack things on your dog for a hike?

I was refering to both person and dog having packs, carrying all you have for a hiking/camping trip. I give people credit that have packs for their dogs. I put a pack on my dog to carry my wallet keys our water when we first started with packs. I guess saddlebags is another name for a dog's back pack. A dog in a pack on a motercycle sounds cool. Does the dog like it?

I've never done that, but I've contemplated it.lol. Looks cool, but we just have to be careful with how much wait is too much weight.

Each breed is different rotties can carry up to 20% of their body weight. Rotties can pull 3x their body weight, I would recomend that dog be checked by vet and work you way up to max weight.

hehe, wow...dogs hauling stuff...thats interesting, I dont have any big enough for that. Sounds fun!

Tayla goes NUTS when we pull out the dog backpack. I used to take her on my bicycle but it has a flat now =( boo!
My Doxie would love it, but staying in that possition I dont think would be comfortable for her. And Taz is too old. Tayla is the perfect pup for it. =D

You should send some pics of your dogs geared up for a hike!

Dobe, have you noticed how different people react to the pups with a pack. People feel safe around a rottie with a pack compared to without. I use packs to exersize zora. 5-10 lbs on each side builds up strength and tires her out.
